MINUTES

Representative Nelson, Chair of Committee on Government Operations, called the meeting to order at January 29, 2013 at 10:02am in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Hansen moved approval of the minutes from January 23, 2013. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF5 (Atkins) Minnesota Insurance Marketplace established, powers and duties prescribed, legislative appointments provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Nelson moved that HF5 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.

Chair Nelson moved to amend HF5 (See attached amendment H0005A23). THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Testimony on HF5 as amended:

Rich Neumeister;
John Reich from the Health Insurance Exchange

HF5 as amended was laid over.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:34am.
