ENERGY POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Melissa Hortman, Chair of the Energy Policy Committee, called the sixteenth meeting to order at 9:05 A.M. on, March 8, 2013, in room 118 of the State Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hortman moved that HF880 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus energy bill.

HF880 (Hornstein) Renewable energy standard increased and extended to 2030, solar energy standard established, renewable energy projects exempted from the certificate of need process, uniform reporting required of rate impacts of meeting the renewable energy standard, and treatment and trading of renewable energy credits modified.

Testifying on the HF880 were the following:

The following handouts were given to Committee members, "Wind on the Wires, wind energy has benefited Minnesota's electric customers", "Wind on the Wires, support Minnesota jobs, stable electricity prices and clean energy", and "Wind on the Wires, wind creates jobs in Minnesota".

The Committee recessed at 9:46 A.M.

The Committee reconvened at 10:01 A.M. in room 10 in the State Office Building.
