MINUTES

Representative Downey, Vice Chair of the Ways and Means Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:01 on April 5, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Downey officially called the meeting to order at 8:02 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Lanning moved HF 2199 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Testifying on HF 2199:

Larry Martin, Executive Director, Legislative Commission on Pensions and Retirement

Representative Lanning moved the H2199A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lanning renewed his motion that HF 2199, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Downey called a recess of the meeting at 8:31 A.M.

Representative Downey reconvened the meeting at 8:58 A.M.

HF1607 (Woodard): State Patrol authorized to provide security and protection to certain government officials, and capitol complex security committee established.

Representative Downey moved HF 1607 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Downey moved the RA12-392 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey renewed his motion that HF 1607, as amended, be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

SF1678 (Woodard): Public defenders provisions modifications; financial responsibilities outline for children in need of protection services (CHIPS) cases.

Representative Downey moved SF 1678 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Downey renewed his motion that SF 1678 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
