PROPERTY AND LOCAL TAX DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Runbeck, Chair of the Property and Local Tax Division Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:18 A.M. on February 9, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Runbeck called the meeting to order at 8:18 A.M.

A quorum was present.

Representative Barrett moved that the minutes of February 2, 2011 be approved.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES ARE APPROVED.

HF88 (Doepke) School personnel maintenance of effort and set-aside requirements removed, and financial decision making returned to school districts.

Chair Runbeck moved HF88 to pass and to be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Doepke presented HF88.

Chair Runbeck renewed the motion to pass and to re-refer HF88 to the Committee on Taxes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Eric Willette, Research Director for Property Taxes, Minnesota Department of Revenue, presented on Property Tax Principles and Indicators.

Testifier:
Tom May, retired Hennepin County assessor.

Chair Runbeck adjourned the meeting at 9:55 A.M.
