MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chairman of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. on March 22, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Lohmer moved that the minutes from morning meeting of March22, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2555 (Kiffmeyer) Sunset review changes implemented, agency requirements changed, posting required for felony or gross misdemeanor and malpractice settlements or judgments for a regulated practitioner, regulated practitioner information required, fund transfer prohibited, and money appropriated.

The committee resumed consideration of HF2555 from the previous committee meeting.

Chairman Lanning moved that HF2555 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2555, as amended.

Representative Winkler moved the H2555A11 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Chairman Lanning renewed his motion that HF2555 be recommended to pass, as amended, and re-referred to the Health and Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2269 (Lanning) Help America Vote Act funds determined and money appropriated.

Chairman Lanning moved that HF22609 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2269.

Representative Benson moved the H2269A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chairman Lanning renewed his motion that HF2269 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
