MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:19 a.m. on February 16, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative McElfatrick moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 15, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2211 (Swedzinski) A bill relating to job creation; imposing a temporary moratorium on state agency rulemaking.

Chairman Lanning moved that HF2211 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee.

The committee heard testimony on HF2211.

Chairman Lanning renewed his motion that HF2211 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1954 (Downey) Counties and cities required to report additional budgetary information.

Representative Downey moved that HF1954 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

Representative Downey moved to orally amend the HF1954 amendment: line 6.5 delete "OBJECT CODE" and insert "EXPENDITURE TYPE". THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved the H1954A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The committee heard testimony on HF1954, as amended.
