MINUTES

Representative Lanning, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:21 a.m. on February 15, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Melin moved to amend the minutes from the committee meeting on February 14, 2012, to indicate her attendance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Banaian moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 14, 2012, be approved, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2033 (Downey) Equal Pay and Benefits Act proposed and new method for public employee compensation determination provided.

Representative Downey moved that HF2033 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Downey moved the H2033A3 amendment.

Representative Downey moved to orally amend H2033A3: line 1.6 delete "position" and insert "job class". THE ORAL AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved the H2033A3 amendment, as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved the H2033A4 amendment.

Representative Downey moved to orally amend HF2033A4: line 1.7 delete "position" and insert "job class"; line 1.8 delete "position" and insert "job class"; line 1.16 delete "position" and insert "job class". THE ORAL AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved the H2033A4 amendment, as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved to orally amend HF2033: line 1.11 delete "position descriptions" and insert "job classes"; line 1.12 delete "position description" and insert "job class". THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
