PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIME PREVENTION POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the second meeting to order at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Smith moved that the minutes of January 11, 2011, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Staff from the Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) gave an overview of the agencies and answered questions of the committee.

Janell Rasmussen, Administrative Services Director, BCA
Frank Dolejsi, Forensic Laboratory Director, BCA
Dave Johnson, MNJIS Director, BCA

Wendy Adler-Robinson, Acting Commissioner of the Department of Human Rights, gave an overview of the agency and answered questions of the committee.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:47 a.m.
