HIGHER EDUCATION POLICY AND FINANCE

MINUTES

Representative Nornes, Chair of the Higher Education Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:35 PM on March 15, 2012 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

The committee heard a presentation of autism research at the University of Minnesota

Testifying:
Amy Hewitt, Ph.D., Director, Research and Training Center on Community Living, Institute on Community Integration
Idel Abdull, Parent of Child with Autism

A quorum was present.

Representative Rukavina moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 13, 2012 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee heard a presentation on the Decade of Discovery Initiative: University of Minnesota/Mayo Clinic Partnership for Biotechnology and Medical Genomics.
