MINUTES

Representative Abeler, Chair of the Health and Human Services Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:31 P.M. on March 14, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hamilton moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 14th, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2676 (Howes) Abortion; grant eligibility modified for abortion alternative programs.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer moved that HF2676 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register.

Representative Howes testified on HF2676.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer renewed his motion that HF2676 be recommended to pass and sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1986 (Schomacker) Background study requirements modified, and notification requirements modified.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF1985 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Schomacker testified on HF1985.

Representative Schomacker moved that HF1985 be recommended to pass, and re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2081 (Daudt) Electronic benefit transfer cards modified, and electronic benefit transfer card use regulated.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer moved that HF2081 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer moved the H2081A3 amendment.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer moved to incorporate the H2081A3 amendment into HF2094. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Daudt, Jane Delage, DHS, testified on HF2081.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer laid HF2081 over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Chair Abeler assumed the gavel at 12:48 P.M.

HF2080 (Daudt) MFIP ineligibility, sanctions, time limit, and exit level modified; and electronic benefit transfer card regulated.

Chair Abeler moved that HF2080 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Chair Abeler moved the H2080A4 amendment.

Chair Abeler moved to incorporate the H2080A4 amendment into HF2080. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Kiffmeyer assumed the gavel at 1:29 P.M.

Representative Liebling moved to orally amend HF2080 as follows:
Delete Section 4

Representative Murphy moved to lay HF2080 on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
