Representative Schomacker called the meeting to order at 1:26 P.M. on March 13, 2012, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

HF1166 (Gottwalt) State permitted to contract with third-party administrators to provide medical assistance benefits, competitive request for proposal process required, and mandatory participation by health maintenance organizations repealed.
Representative Schomacker called the meeting to order at 1:40 P.M.
A quorum was present.
Representative Gottwalt moved that HF1166 be recommended to pass and sent to General Register.
Representative Gottwalt moved the
H1166DE1 amendment.
Representative Gottwalt, Kathryn Kmit, Minnesota Council of Health Plans, Scott Leitz, Assistant Commissioner, DHS, testified on HF1166.
Representative Gottwalt moved to incorporate the H1166DE1 amendment into HF1166. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Gottwalt renewed his motion that HF1166 be recommended to pass, as amended, and sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Hamilton moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 8th, 2012, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 P.M.
