MINUTES

Representative Garofalo, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. on February 22, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Greiling assumed the gavel.

A quorum was present at 12:34.

Representative Greiling moved that the minutes of February 22, 2012 be adopted.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2037 (Garofalo) Community education, school readiness, and Early Childhood Family Education fund balance penalties eliminated.

Representative Garofalo moved HF2037 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Garofalo presented HF2037.

Representative Mariani moved HF2291 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.

SF946 (Erickson) School districts joint operation and innovative delivery of education pilot project establishment.

Representative Erickson moved SF946 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Ways and Means.

Representative Erickson moved the S0946A5 amendment to SF946.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Erickson moved to reconsider S0946A5 amendment to SF946.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Erickson moved the S0946A5 amendment to SF946.
Representative Erickson moved an oral amendment to S0946A5 amendment to SF946.
Line 1.13: Page 1, line 13, delete "consult" and insert "collaborate".
