MINUTES

Representative Garofalo, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m. on March 8, 2012, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2083 (Garofalo) Education provisions modified and funding provided for early, adult, and kindergarten through grade 12 including general education, education excellence, special programs, facilities and technology, nutrition and accounting, libraries, and prevention; education forecast adjustments provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Garofalo moved HF2083 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Taxes.

Representative Garofalo moved the H2083DE2 amendment to HF2083.

Representative Myhra moved the H2083A1 amendment to the H2083DE2 amendment to HF2083.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Greiling moved the H2083A4 amendment to the H2083DE2 amendment to HF2083.

Representative Garofalo moved reconsideration of the H2083A1 amendment to the H2083DE2 amendment to HF2083.

Representative Myhra moved an oral amendment to the H2083A1 amendment to the H2083DE2 amendment to HF2083:

Representative Kelly assumed the gavel at 2:16 p.m.

SF946UE2 (Erickson) School districts joint operation and innovative delivery of education pilot project establishment.

Representative Erickson moved SF946UE2 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Erickson moved the S0946A6 amendment to SF946UE2.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Erickson moved the S0946A8 amendment to SF946UE2.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Erickson renewed her motion that SF946UE2 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

HF2506 (Loon) School district reserved staff development revenue allocation requirement stricken.

Representative Loon moved HF2506 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register.
