MINUTES

Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. on February 29, 2012, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Murdock moved the minutes for February 28, 2012. The motion prevailed.

Representative Sanders moved that HF2093 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Taxes.

Representative Sanders moved amendment H2093A5. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Charlie Durrenberger with MN Department of Labor and Industry testified.

Representative Sanders renewed his motion that HF2093 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

Representative Sanders moved that HF2335 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Judy Cook from Cook Girard Associates testified.

Representative Sanders moved amendment H2335A1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

John Reich from MN Department of Commerce testified.

Representative Sanders renewed his motion that HF2335 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

Representative Kieffer moved HF2308 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Ron Elwood from MN Legal Aid Society testified.

Jean Lee testified.

Representative Kieffer renewed her motion that HF2308 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Civil Law Committee. The motion prevailed.

Representative Atkins moved HF343 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Atkins moved amendment H0343DE2. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Jim Arlt, Department of Public Safety testified.

Representative Atkins renewed his motion that HF343 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

The chair adjourned the meeting at 3:48 pm.
