Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:50 P.M. on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 2:55 P.M.

Representative Laine moved that the minutes of March 24, 2009, March 25, 2009 and March 26, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Supportive housing and managed care pilot cost study results

HF1276 (Norton) County human services mandates modified

Representative Norton moved that HF1276 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance

Representative Norton moved the H1276A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Norton moved the H1276A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Norton renewed her motion that HF1276, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF249 (Thissen) Emeritus status requirements modified for licensed psychologists, inactive licensure status for licensed psychologists created, licensed psychologists authorized to provide a final determination not to certify, and licensed psychologist added to Health Care Reform Review Council

Representative Thissen moved that HF249 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF866 (Hosch) School districts required to obtain employee health coverage through the public employees insurance program

Representative Thissen moved that HF866 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on State and Local Government Operations Reform, Technology and Elections.

Representative Hosch presented the bill.

Representative Norton moved the H0866A12 amendment. A division was requested.

On a vote of 10 AYES and 9 NAYS THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Loeffler moved to amend HF866, as amended, as follows:

Page 3, line 3 delete "advantage Value, and Advantage HAS"

The amendment was ruled out of order.

Representative Thissen renewed his motion that HF866, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on State and Local Government Operations Reform, Technology and Elections. A division was requested.

On a vote of 12 AYES and 8 NAYS THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:25 P.M.
