Representative Tina Liebling, Vice-Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:42 P.M. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Thao moved that the minutes of March 5, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF42 (Thissen) Four-month waiting period waived for unemployed persons for MinnesotaCare, and money appropriated

Representative Thissen moved that HF42 be taken off the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Thissen moved the H0042DE4-1 amendment.

Representative Thissen moved the H0042A3 amendment to the H0042DE4-1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Thissen moved the H0042DE4-1 amendment, as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Thissen presented the bill.

Representative Thissen renewed his motion that HF42, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Huntley moved that HF1141 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Thissen moved that HF782 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Thissen moved the A09-0103 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Brod moved to table HF491. On a division of 9 AYES and 11 NAYS THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL.

Representative Liebling renewed her motion that HF491, as amended, be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.
