Representative Mindy Greiling, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:45PM on March 3, 2009, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Buesgens moved the minutes of February 26, 2009 be adopted.

HF1172 (Garofalo) A bill for an act relating to education; providing for early childhood and family, prekindergarten through grade 12, and adult education, including general education, education excellence, special programs, facilities and technology, nutrition and accounting, libraries, early childhood education, prevention, self-sufficiency and lifelong learning, state agencies, and PELRA.
Representative Garofalo moved HF1172 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus K-12 Education Finance Bill.
Representative Garofalo offered
H1172A1 as an amendment to HF1172.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
