Vice-Chair Persell called the meeting to order at 8:34 A.M. on February 11, 2010 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

HF2624 Wagenius, Environmental and natural resources funding provided, and money appropriated.

Rep. Wagenius moved that HF2624 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee on Finance.

Rep. Wagenius moved the H2624A1 amendment. The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.

Rep. Wagenius testified on her bill as amended.

Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) staff Michael McDonough and Susan Thornton testified on the bill.

Rep. Wagenius moved an oral amendment as follows: replace every reference to "Minnesota Conservation Corps" to "Conservation Corps of Minnesota". The motion prevailed and the amendment was adopted.

Rep. Wagenius renewed her motion of the bill as amended. The motion prevailed and HF2624 as amended is recommended to pass and re-referred to the committee on Finance.

Chair Wagenius took the gavel at 9:44.

Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Division Directors David Benke and Mynra Halbach testified on the progress of the composting competitive grant program.

The committee adjourned at 9:58 A.M.
