Representative Lenczewski, Chair of the Tax Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:34 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2010 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Murphy moved amendment H2695DE2 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Reinert moved the minutes from March 8, 2010; March 9, 2010; March 15, 2010; March 16, 2010. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

Chair Lenczewski moved a recess to the call of the chair at 11:35A.M.

Chair Lenczewski reconvened the committee at 8:12 P.M. in the Basement Hearing Room.

Representative Davnie moved amendment H2695A7. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Joel Michael, House Research, presented HF2695 as amended.

Testifying on HF2695 as amended: Mark Lofthus, Department of Employment and Economic Development

Representative Lenczewski moved oral amendments to amendment H2695A7 as follows: Page 3, line 14, change "2015" to "2016"; Page 3, line 16, change "2016" to "2017"; Page 3, line 19, change "2019" to "2020"; Page 4, line 20, reference to line 37 should actually be a reference to line 10; Page 4, line 27, delete "delete section 40 and" and replace with "after line 13 insert"; Page 5, delete line 21, and replace with "page 44, delete section 42"; Page 8, line 11: delete "5" and insert "48" THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Solberg moved an additional oral amendment to H2695A7: Page 6 line 22 change delete "Itasca" and replace with "Aitkin", and delete "an ATV" and replace with "a" THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Solberg moved amendment H2695A15. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Brod moved amendment H2695A11. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL, THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Downey moved amendment H2695A13.

Representative Downey moved to orally amend amendment H2695A13 as follows:
strike line 1.2; on line 1.3, replace "$4,500,000" with "$2,500,000", and replace existing "$2,500,000" with "$5,000,000"; line 1.4, replace "$9,000,000" with "$5,000,000" and replace existing "5,000,000" with "10,000,000"

Amendment H2695A13 was before the committee for consideration as orally amended.

Chair Lenczewski called for a vote on H2695A13 as amended. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL, THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Eastlund moved amendment H2695A8. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL, THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Representative Solberg moved amendment H2695A9. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Brod moved amendment H2695A10.

Representative Brod withdrew amendment H2695A10.

Representative Murphy renewed her motion to pass HF2695 as amended and send it to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE BILL WAS PASSED AS AMENDED AND SENT TO THE COMMITTEE ON WAYS AND MEANS.

Representative Lenczewski adjourned the committee at 10:44 P.M.
