Representative Loren Solberg, Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 4:45PM in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2899 (Pelowski)
Relating to data practices; providing an administrative remedy for certain data practices law violates; providing civil penalties; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2008, sections 13.072, subdivision 2; 10.08, subdivision 4; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 23.

Representative Solberg moved that HF2899 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Pelowski presented HF2899.

Representative renewed his motion that HF2899 pass and be placed on the General Register.
THE MOTION PREVAILED

The Committee recessed until 5:45 PM.


HF2695 (Lenczewski)
Job creation encouraged, tax credits allowed for job growth investment credit and historic structure rehabilitation, deduction of certain dividends disallowed, special assessment use for energy conservation improvements expanded, permitted use of tax increment financing expanded, Bloomington's development restrictions of the Mall of America site repealed, and money appropriated.

Representative Lenczewski moved to amend HF2695 as follows: see H2695A17.
THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lenczewski moved to amend H2695A17 as follows: Page 10, line 10.7 after the word Any insert the word collection, and on page 10, line 10.8 delete the word activities and insert the words new initiatives.
THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Lencewski presented HF2695 as amended.

Testifying on behalf of HF2695 as amended was Commissioner Ward Einness, Department of Revenue.

Representative Lenczewski renewed her motion that HF2695 as amended pass and be placed on the General Register.
THE MOTION PREVAILED

The Committee adjourned at 6:45 PM.
