Representative Ann Lenczewski, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:07 A.M. on March 18, 2008 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF2847-Laine-Fridley tax increment financing district authorized.

The following people testified on behalf of HF2847: Scott Lund, Mayor of Fridley; & Jim Casserly, Development Council for the City of Fridley.

A quorum was present.

Representative Tillberry moved HF2847 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Tillberry moved amendment H2847DE1 (ATTACHED). THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF2847 was laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Tillberry moved HF3856 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF3856-Knuth- New Brighton tax increment financing authorized.

Representative Tillberry moved amendment H3856DE1 (ATTACHED). THE MOTION PREVAILED, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following people testified on HF3856: Steve Larson, Mayor of New Brighton; Jim Casserly, Development Council for the City of Fridley; & Dean Lotter, City Manager for the City of New Brighton.

HF3856 was laid over as amended for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Before the committee was HF3536.

HF3536-Mullery- Minneapolis housing replacement district law modified.

Sherrie Pugh-Sullivan from the Northside Residents Redevelopment Council testified on behalf of HF3536.

Before the committee was HF4004.

HF4004-Carlson- Crystal housing development account authorized.

The following people testified on behalf of HF4004: Mark Hoffman, City Council Member in the City of Crystal; Patrick Peters, Community Development Director for the City of Crystal.

Representative Davnie moved to approve the minutes of March 17, 2008. THE MOTION PREVAILED - THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
