Representative Kurt Zellers called the meeting to order at 12:10 P.M. on Friday, April 13, 2007, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

King Wilson (Executive Director, Allied Charities of Minnesota) and Laurie Gluesing (Gambling Manager, Climb Theatre) testified on HF1310 and HF1474.

HF1884 Atkins Minnesota Land Conservation Incentives Act of 2007 adopted providing an income tax credit for land donations.

Representative Atkins moved HF1884 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Representative Atkins moved the H1884A3 amendment to HF1884. THE MOTION PREVAILED - THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Steve Hobbs (Administrator, Rice Creek Watershed District) testified on HF1884.

HF2164 Hausman Group term life insurance contracts exempted from the premiums tax.

Representative Lenczewski moved HF2164 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

HF0284 Ruth Special assessment deferments authorized for members of the armed forces, and grants from the Support Our Troops account authorized for eligible individuals to pay special assessments.

Representative Brod moved HF0284 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Omnibus Tax Bill.

Colonel Eric Ahlness (Government Relations Officer, Minnesota National Guard) testified on HF0284.

Brian McDaniel (Director of Government Affairs, Department of Employment and Economic Development) testified on HF2417.
