MINUTES


Representative Tim Mahoney, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:03AM on February 13, 2007 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Thissen moved that the minutes from February 12, 2007 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 618(Winkler), a bill for an act relating to economic development; appropriating money for bioscience business development programs.

Representative Winkler moved that HF 618 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Representative Winkler moved amendment H0618DE1 (attached).

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Winkler renewed his motion that HF 618, as amended, be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 535 (Hamilton), a bill for an act relating to economic development; creating a grant for an agricultural-based bioscience training and testing center; appropriating money.

Representative Hamilton moved that HF 535 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

Chair Mahoney offered amendment H0535A1 (attached).

THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Ruth offered an oral amendment as follows:
