Representative Jim Knoblach, Chair, called the forty-eighth meeting to order at 3:42 p.m. on
Monday, May 8, 2006 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Knoblach called the meeting to order at 3:42 p.m. A quorum was present.

Representative Seifert moved that the minutes of May 3, 2006 be approved.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3697 Bradley Omnibus health and human services bill modifying programs and policy, amending the Women's Right to Know Act, prohibiting state funding for abortion, and appropriating money.

Representative Bradley moved that HF3697, first engrossment, be recommended to pass.

Representative Bradley and Kim Carolan, Health Care Policy Analyst, Minnesota Department of Human Services, testified on HF3697, first engrossment.

Representative Bradley moved the H3697DE1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Bradley moved the H3697A47 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Bradley moved that HF3697, first engrossment, as amended, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.



HF2935 Bradley MinnesotaCare provider tax contingent reduction provided.

Representative Bradley moved that HF2935, first engrossment, be recommended to pass.

Representative Bradley testified on HF2935, first engrossment.

Representative Bradley renewed his motion that HF2935, first engrossment, be recommended to pass. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2890 Sykora Staggered terms of office for senators and staggered four-year terms of office for representatives provided, and constitutional amendment proposed.

Representative Sykora moved that HF2980, first engrossment, be recommended to pass and be sent to the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration

Representative Sykora testified on HF2890.

Representative Sykora renewed her motion that HF2980, first engrossment, be recommended to pass and be sent to the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:18 p.m.
