HEALTH POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE

Representative Jim Abeler, Chairman of the Cost Containment Division of the Health Policy and Finance Committee, called the sixteenth meeting to order at 1:45 P.M. on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 in Room 500S of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Abeler made introductory comments.

Committee action and amendments were considered.

Rep. Thissen moved the A4 amendment.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Abeler moved to reconsider the A4 amendment, for procedural reasons.

The motion prevailed.

Rep. Thissen withdrew his amendment.

Rep. Abeler moved that HF 2438 be recommended to pass, and be re-referred to the committee on
Health Policy and Finance.

Rep. Thissen moved the A4 amendment.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted, as amended.

Rep. Abeler moved an oral amendment to HF 2438:

p.36-38, delete Section 2 in its entirety.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Goodwin moved the A5 amendment.

Rep. Abeler moved the A3 amendment.

Rep. Abeler moved an oral amendment to HF 2438:

Delete Sections 2 and 8 of Article 4.

The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Goodwin moved an oral amendment to HF 2438:

Pg 9, ln 6, insert “in compliance with applicable data health privacy laws”
after “status”.
