Representative Barb Sykora, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 12:35 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

HF355 (Finstad) Independent School District No. 88, New Ulm, authorized to use health and safety revenue for mechanical air handling system appurtenances

HF1086 (Powell) School districts authorized to replace state shortfalls in special education funding with local levy authority, and local discretionary levy authorized

1:12:00 PM Rep. Sykora moved to amend HF1086 with the H1086A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
1:13:06 PM Rep. Sykora moved to orally amend HF1086, as amended, as follows:
Page 1, line 15, after "district's" insert "adjusted"
