Representative Chris DeLaForest, Vice Chair of the Civil Law and Elections Committee called the thirty-eighth meeting to order at 12:50 p.m. March 29, 2006 in the Basement Hearing Room, State Office Building, St. Paul, MN.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Representative Smith discussed HF 3585.

Quorum was present at 12:52 p.m.

Vice Chair DeLaForest moved HF 3585 to pass, and be placed on the General Register.

HF 3585 (Smith) Child support and maintenance provisions modified.

Vice Chair DeLaForest moved Amendment H3585A1. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Abeler moved to amend HF 3282 as follows:

Page 19, line 19.11 – delete “1496p” and insert “1396p”.

Representative Emmer moved to Lay HF 3283 on the table. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair DeLaForest moved HF 1466 to pass, and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Koenen discussed HF 1466.

HF 1466 (Koenen) Farm tractor clock-hour meter tampering prohibited, and civil penalty and private right of action prescribed.

Vice Chair DeLaForest moved HF 1466 to pass, and be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
