1.3    "Sec. 3. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 171.11, is amended to read:
1.4171.11 DUPLICATE LICENSE; CHANGE OF DOMICILE OR NAME.
1.5(a) When any person, after applying for or receiving a driver's license, shall change
1.6 changes permanent domicile from the address named in such application or in the license
1.7issued to the person, or shall change such person shall, within 30 days thereafter, update
1.8the address using the computerized records system under section 171.12, subdivision 1a.
1.9(b) When any person, after applying for or receiving a driver's license, changes a
1.10name by marriage or otherwise, such person shall, within 30 days thereafter, apply for a
1.11duplicate driver's license upon a form furnished by the department and pay the required
1.12fee. The application or duplicate license shall must show both the licensee's old address
1.13and new address or the former name and new name as the case may be.
1.14EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective for August 1, 2014, and applies to
1.15changes of address occurring on or after the date of completed implementation of the
1.16computerized records system under Minnesota Statutes, section 171.12, subdivision 1a."
