1.3    "Sec. 2. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 84D.108, subdivision 2, is amended to read:
1.4    Subd. 2. Permit requirements. (a) Service providers must complete invasive
1.5species training provided by the commissioner and pass an examination to qualify for a
1.6permit. Service provider permits are valid for three calendar years.
1.7(b) A $50 application and testing fee is required for service provider permit
1.8applications.
1.9(c) Persons working for a permittee must satisfactorily complete aquatic invasive
1.10species-related training provided by the commissioner, except as provided under
1.11paragraph (d).
1.12(d) A person working for and supervised by a permittee is not required to complete
1.13the training under paragraph (c) if the water-related equipment or other water-related
1.14structures remain on the riparian property owned or controlled by the permittee and are
1.15only removed from and placed into the same water of the state."
