2.21(2) acquire land and create opportunities;

2.23(4) improve cooperation by coordinating
2.24with partners to implement the 25-year
2.25long-range parks and trails legacy plan.
2.26(b) $7,950,000 the first year and $8,247,000
2.27the second year are for grants under
2.28Minnesota Statutes, section 85.535, to
2.29acquire, develop, improve, and restore
2.30parks and trails of regional or statewide
2.31significance outside of the metropolitan area,
2.32as defined in Minnesota Statutes, section
2.33473.121, subdivision 2. Up to 2.5 percent
2.34of the total appropriation may be used for
3.1administering the grants. Any unencumbered
3.2balance at the end of a fiscal year is available
3.3for the purposes in paragraph (a).
3.4(c) $200,000 the first year and $207,000 the
3.5second year are for enhanced, integrated,
3.6and accessible Web-based information for
3.7park and trail users; joint marketing and
3.8promotional efforts for all parks and trails
3.9of regional or statewide significance; and
3.10support of activities of a parks and trails
3.11legacy advisory committee.
3.12(d) The commissioner shall contract for
3.13services with Conservation Corps Minnesota
3.14for restoration, maintenance, and other
3.15activities under this section for at least
3.16$500,000 the first year and $500,000 the
