1.3Page 28, after line 32, insert:
1.4"(d) Notwithstanding section 326A.13, all statements, records, schedules, working
1.5papers, and memoranda made by a certified public accountant firm for a county audit
1.6are the records of the county for all purposes, including the Minnesota Government
1.7Data Practices Act. Following the issuance of the audit report, for all such records in
1.8the possession of the certified public accountant firm, the firm shall be a "government
1.9entity" for the purposes of applying the provisions of the Minnesota Government Data
1.10Practices Act. Except for data obtained from the county that is classified as not public,
1.11these records shall be public. These records shall be maintained by the certified public
1.12accountant firm for a period not less than ten years. In addition, the denial of access
1.13by the firm to any request for data shall be in writing and a copy of the denial shall be
1.14forwarded to the state auditor."
