2.7under Presidential Declaration of Major
2.8Disaster, DR-1569, whether included in the
2.9original declaration or added later by federal
2.10government action. The area currently
2.11included in DR-1569 includes territory
2.12within the counties of Dodge, Faribault,
2.13Freeborn, Martin, Mower, Olmsted, and
2.14Steele.
2.15$175,000 is for the state share of a grant to
2.16the city of Cannon Falls for predesign and
2.17design of capital improvements to alleviate
2.18flooding caused by runoff from the bluffs and
2.19the flooding of the Little Cannon River and
2.20the Cannon River.
2.21For any project listed in this subdivision that
2.22is not ready to proceed or does not expend all
2.23the money allocated to it, the commissioner
2.24may allocate that project's money to a project
2.25on the commissioner's priority list.
2.26To the extent that the cost of a project in Ada,
2.27Austin, Breckenridge, Dawson, East Grand
2.28Forks, Granite Falls, Montevideo, Oakport
2.29Township, Roseau, Saint Vincent, or Warren
2.30exceeds two percent of the median household
2.31income in the municipality multiplied by the
2.32number of households in the municipality,
2.33this appropriation is also for the local share
2.34of the project.
3.1There is no local share required for the
3.2Canisteo Mine project.
3.3For grants for Roseau River wildlife
3.4management area, Palmville, and Malung,
3.5the state share must be $3 for each $1 of
3.6nonstate contribution.
3.7Notwithstanding the grant expiration date of
3.8June 30, 2002, the commissioner of natural
3.9resources shall extend until June 30, 2007,
3.10the expiration date of a grant made to the
3.11city of Stillwater under Minnesota Statutes,
3.12section 103F.161, used to match certain
3.13federal appropriations for flood hazard
