1.3    "Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS.
1.4The amounts in this section are appropriated from the general fund to the
1.5commissioner of corrections in fiscal year 2010 for full and final payment under Minnesota
1.6Statutes, sections 3.738 and 3.739, of claims against the state for injuries suffered by
1.7and medical services provided to persons injured while performing community service
1.8or sentence-to-service work for correctional purposes or while incarcerated in a state
1.9correctional facility. This appropriation is available until June 30, 2010.
1.10(a) For sentence-to-service and community work service claims under $500 and
1.11other claims already paid by the Department of Corrections, $5,000.48.
1.12(b) For payment to Jorge Arias for permanent injuries suffered while performing
1.13sentence-to-service work in Hennepin County, $2,625, and for payment to medical
1.14providers for treatment of Mr. Arias' injuries, $6,108.52.
1.15(c) For payment to Roy Biwer for permanent injuries suffered while performing
1.16sentence-to-service work in Hennepin County, $1,875, and for reimbursement of medical
1.17expenses he already paid, $325.75; for payment to medical providers for treatment of Mr.
1.18Biwer's injuries, $408.87.
1.19(d) For payment to Shane T. Bramer for permanent injuries suffered while
1.20performing assigned duties at MCF-Stillwater, $7,500.
1.21(e) For payment to medical providers for treatment of Richard Christiansen, who
1.22suffered medical problems while performing sentence-to-service work in Rice County,

2.18(p) For payment to Thomas William Tolve for permanent injuries suffered while
2.19performing assigned duties at MCF-Faribault, $4,050.
2.20(q) For payment to medical providers for treatment of Kerri Wirtz, who suffered
2.21injuries while performing sentence-to-service work in Todd County, $1,559.64.

2.22    Sec. 2. DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC
2.23DEVELOPMENT.
2.24The Department of Employment and Economic Development is authorized to
2.25pay Nancy J. Teklenburg of Solway, Minnesota, $13,517 for economic loss caused by
2.26a departmental error. This payment must be made from existing departmental funds
2.27pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, section 268.196.
2.28EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective retroactively from July 16, 2008.

2.29    Sec. 3. DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE.
2.30$1,412 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of revenue in
2.31fiscal year 2010 for full and final payment of the claim of Mary K. Egge of Forest Lake,
2.32Minnesota, for her 2005 property tax refund."
