1.3    "Section 1. Laws 2008, chapter 154, article 9, section 24, is amended to read:
1.4    Sec. 24. CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON; TAX INCREMENT FINANCING;
1.5EXPENDITURES OUTSIDE DISTRICT.
1.6    Subdivision 1. Expenditures outside district. Notwithstanding the provisions of
1.7Minnesota Statutes, section sections 469.176, subdivision 4d, and 469.1763, subdivision
1.82
, or any other law to the contrary, the city of New Brighton may expend increments
1.9generated from its tax increment financing district No. 26 to facilitate eligible activities
1.10numbers 9, 20, and 26. The increments may be used to pay eligible expenses as permitted
1.11by Minnesota Statutes, section 469.176, subdivision 4e 4j, outside the boundaries of
1.12tax increment financing district No. 26 districts 9, 20, and 26, but only within the area
1.13described in Laws 1998, chapter 389, article 11, section 24, subdivision 1, and commonly
1.14referred to as the Northwest Quadrant. Minnesota Statutes, section 469.1763, subdivisions
1.153
and 4, do not apply to expenditures permitted by this section.
1.16    Subd. 2. District duration extension. Notwithstanding the provisions of Minnesota
1.17Statutes, section 469.176, subdivision 1b, or any other law to the contrary, the duration
1.18limits that apply to redevelopment tax increment financing districts numbers 31 and 32
1.19established under Laws 1998, chapter 389, article 11, section 24, and hazardous substance
1.20subdistricts numbers 31A and 32A established under Minnesota Statutes, sections 469.174
1.21to 469.1799, are extended by four years.
1.22EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective upon approval by the governing body
1.23of the city of New Brighton and upon compliance by the city with Minnesota Statutes,
1.24section 645.021, subdivisions 3."
1.25Amend the title accordingly
