1.1    .................... moves to amend H. F. No. 2998 as follows:
1.2Delete everything after the enacting clause and insert:

1.3    "Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 85.053, is amended by adding a
1.4subdivision to read:
1.5    Subd. 10. Free entrance; permanently and totally disabled veterans. The
1.6commissioner shall allow free entrance to state parks and state recreation areas for any
1.7veteran with a total and permanent service-connected disability who presents each year
1.8a copy of their determination letter to a park attendant or commissioner's designee
1.9for an annual park permit. For the purposes of this section, "veteran with a total and
1.10permanent service-connected disability" means a resident who has a total and permanent
1.11service-connected disability as adjudicated by the United States Veterans Administration
1.12or by the retirement board of one of the several branches of the armed forces."
1.13Delete the title and insert:
1.15relating to natural resources; authorizing free entrance to state parks for totally
1.16and permanently disabled veterans;amending Minnesota Statutes 2006, section
1.1785.053, by adding a subdivision."
