MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Tax Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative McDonald moved the approval of the March 15, 2022 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 11 (Schultz) Transitional cost-sharing reduction, premium subsidy, small employers
public option, and transitional health care credit established; MinnesotaCare eligibility
expanded; premium scale modified; and recommendations required for alternative
delivery and payment system.

Representative Schultz moved that HF 11 be re-referred to Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Schultz presented the bill.

HF 3776 (Noor) Income tax subtraction provided for grants, and funding increased for
the emergency assistance for postsecondary students program.

Representative Youakim moved that HF 3776 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Tax Omnibus Bill.

Representative Noor presented the bill.

HF 4022 (Lislegard) Virginia; city exempted from net debt limit.
