MINUTES

Representative Paul Marquart, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual Tax Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lislegard moved the approval of the March 3, 2021 minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Marquart referred bills to the Property Tax Division by memo of March 8, 2021.

HF 1658 (Stephenson) Supplemental unemployment insurance benefits income tax subtraction.

Representative Stephenson moved that HF 1658 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Stephenson presented the bill.

Vice Chair Lislegard assumed the gavel at 1:13 P.M.

Chair Marquart assumed the gavel at 1:15 P.M.

Representative Stephenson renewed his motion that HF 1658 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 1732 (Agbaje) Purpose statements for past tax expenditures provided.

Representative Agbaje moved that HF 1732 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Agbaje presented the bill.

Representative Agbaje renewed her motion that HF 1732 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

HF 1591 (Swedzinski) Capital equipment purchase tax exemption expanded.

Representative Swedzinski moved that HF 1591 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Marquart moved that HF 1679 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
