MINUTES


Representative Lillie, Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 24, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative JORDAN moved to approve the minutes from March 19, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation on the Parks and Trails Legacy Budget Request.

Presenters:
- Lisa Barajas: Director of Community Development, Metropolitan Council
- Renee Mattson: Executive Director, Greater Minnesota Regional Parks and Trails Commission
- Erika Rivers: Director of Minnesota Parks and Trails Division, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources

HF1905(Christensen); Public television grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative CHRISTENSEN moved that HF1905 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Christensen introduced HF1905.

Testifying on the bill:

- Les Heen: Minnesota Public Television Association

Representative CHRISTENSEN renewed her motion that HF1905 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

HF2350 (Jordan); Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative JORDAN moved that HF2350 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Jordan introduced HF2350.

Testifying on the bill:
- Amy Spong: Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer, Minnesota Department of Administration
- Curtis Yoakum: Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Administration

Representative JORDAN renewed her motion that HF2350 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

HF1327 (Anderson); Central Square Cultural and Civics Center funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative ANDERSON moved that HF1327 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Anderson introduced HF1327.

Representative ANDERSON renewed his motion that HF1327 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.
