EIGHTH MEETING MINUTES

Representative Freiberg, Chair of the Preventive Health Policy Division, called the remote meeting to order at 10:30 am on Wednesday, March 10th, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Pryor moved that the minutes from the meeting on March 3rd, 2021 be approved. MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Freiberg moved HF1721 to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

HF 1721 (Schultz): Tobacco product definition amended to include electronic delivery devices, cigarette and tobacco product excise tax increased, special revenue fund tobacco prevention and cessation account established, and money appropriated.

Representative Freiberg moved HF1721A1 (Schultz). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Jen Schultz presented the bill.

HF 1307 (Edelson): Healthy children’s meal requirements established at restaurants to be implemented on a phased-in basis, and enforcement provided.

Representative Heather Edelson presented the bill.
