MINUTES

Representative Tina Liebling, Chair of the Division, called the virtual Health Finance and Policy Committee meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on February 8, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Demuth moved that the minutes of February 3, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF526 (Klevorn) Birth and death record access changed.

Chair Liebling moved that HF526 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Representative Klevorn presented her bill.

Chair Liebling renewed her motion that HF526 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law and stated there would be a roll call vote.

HF475 (Huot) Comprehensive advanced life support educational program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Huot moved that HF475 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Vice Chair Huot presented his bill.

Chair Liebling laid over HF475 for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

HF569 (Morrison) Tobacco use prevention and cessation activity funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Morrison moved that HF569 be heard and laid over for possible inclusion in the Health Finance and Policy Committee bill.

Representative Morrison presented her bill and also gave an overview of her related bill HFXXX (Morrison) Requiring certain litigation proceeds to be deposited in a dedicated account; appropriating money for tobacco use prevention and cessation activities.

Testifying: Molly Moilanen, ClearWay Minnesota Vice President and Minnesotans for a Smoke-Free Generation Co-Chair

Chair Liebling laid over HF569 for possible inclusion in the Committee bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:55 P.M.
