PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:49 P.M. on March 3rd, 2020, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Considine moved to approve the minutes for the February 27th, 2020 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.

HF 3360 (Sandstede) Violent crime enforcement team funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Sandstede presented HF3360.

HF 3243 (Pinto) Law enforcement hiring information access expanded.

Representative Pinto presented HF3243.

Representative Pinto moved to re-refer HF3243 to the Judiciary and Civil Law Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED

HF 3568 (Considine) Mental illness decriminalization planning group provided, and report required.

Chair Mariani moved to re-refer HF3568 to the Corrections Division without recommendation. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1149 (Christensen) Conservation officer authority under DWI law expanded.

Chair Mariani presented HF1149.

Chair Mariani moved to amend HF1149 with the A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Mariani moved that HF1149, as amended, be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 5:00 P.M.
