MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:39 P.M. on March 13, 2019, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bernardy called the meeting to order at 2:36 P.M.

Representative Runbeck moved to approve the minutes from March 12, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 225 (Nelson) North Hennepin Community College asset preservation funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Pryor moved HF 225 be rereferred to Ways & Means.

Representative Pryor offered an ORAL AMENDMENT on HF 225, page 1, line 1.6, delete “$140,000” and insert “$911,000,” and page 1, line 1.12, delete “$140,000” and insert “$911,000.” THE ORAL AMENDMENT IS INCORPORATED.

Representative Pryor renewed the motion HF 225 be re-referred to Ways & Means, as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 226 (Nelson) North Hennepin Community College asset preservation funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Vang made a motion to re-refer HF 226 to Ways & Means with a recommendation to refer to Capitol Investment.

Representative Pryor offered an ORAL AMENDMENT on HF 226, page 1, lines 1.6, delete “$800,000” and insert “$1.9 million,” and page 1, line 1.12 delete “$800,000” and insert “$1.9 million.” THE AMENDMENT IS INCORPORATED.

Representative Daniels moved HF 520 be re-referred to Ways & Means. THE MOTION PREVAILS.

HF 1610 (Pryor) University of Minnesota Institute of Child Development building replacement funding provided, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Representative Pryor moved HF 1610 be re-referred to Ways & Means.

Representative Pryor moved HF 1844 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.
