MINUTES
Representative Dehn, Chair of the Subcommittee on Elections, called the meeting to order at 9:48 AM on March 4th, 2020 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. Members present: DEHN, Raymond (Chair) BAHNER, Kristin (Vice-Chair) BERNARDY, Connie HALVERSON, Laurie MANN, Alice

A quorum was present.
Representative Neu moved to approve minutes for February 28, 2020 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Bahner moved HF 2327 (Bahner) to be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations.
HF 2327 (Bahner) Relating to elections; clarifying prohibitions on soliciting at or near a polling place; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, section 211B.11, subdivision 1.
Representative Bahner moved to adopt the A20-0667 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Representative Bahner testified on the bill. Testifiers: Secretary Steve Simon, Office of Secretary of State
Representative Bahner renewed motion to re-refer HF 2327 (Bahner) as amended to the committee on Government Operations.
Representative Halverson assumed chair.

Representative Bahner moved HF 1328 (Bahner) to be re-referred to the committee on Government Operations.
HF 1328 (Bahner) Relating to elections; providing for automatic voter registration of applicants for a driver’s license, instruction permit, or identification card; appropriating money; amending Minnesota Statutes 2018, sections 13.607, by adding a subdivision; 201.161.
Representative Bahner moved to adopt the H1328DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Representative Bahner testified on the bill. Testifiers: Sam Oliker-Friedland, Center for Secure and Modern Elections
