MINUTES

Representative Laurie Halverson, Chair of the Commerce Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:35PM on March 5th, 2019, in Room 120 of the State Capitol.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Stephenson moved to approve the minutes of March 1st, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF284 (Halverson)
Insulin products sold in Minnesota cost review authorized by commissioner of health, excessive cost determined, maximum level of reimbursement established for insulin products if necessary, and money appropriated.

Representative Halverson moved HF284 to be re-referred to the Health and Human Services Policy Division, and moved the HF0284A1 (Halverson) amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Insulin assistance program established, insulin assistance account established in the special revenue fund, drug manufacturers required to pay an insulin product fee, emergency refills provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Howard moved HF485 to be re-referred to Health and Human Services Policy Division, and moved the HF0485DE1-1 (Howard) amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
