MINUTES

Representative Torkelson, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the twenty-fourth meeting to order at 1:02 P.M. on Tuesday, March 21st, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Torkelson called the meeting to order at 1:02 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes of March 20th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF678 (Quam) Law enforcement memorial special license plates established.

Representative Torkelson moved HF678 be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Quam introduced the bill.

Representative Torkelson renewed his motion that HF678 be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

HF861 (Torkelson) Commercial motor vehicle provisions, highway-rail grade crossing signs, Transportation Department contract preference requirements, and transportation plan due dates modified.

Representative Torkelson moved HF861 be re-referred to the committee on Taxes.

Representative Torkelson moved the H0861DE2. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Andrew Lee, House Fiscal Staff, presented on the bill.

Matt Buress, House Research, presented on the bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:46 P.M.

We will also finish discussion and pass HF678 (Quam) Law enforcement memorial special license plates established. No further public testimony will be taken. This bill received an information hearing on March 16th pending referral of the bill to the committee.
