HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETIETH SESSION
PROPERTY TAX AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT FINANCE COMMITTEE
MINUTES
Representative Drazkowski, Chair of the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:16AM on January 25th, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Erickson moved the minutes of Jan 18th, 2017 be approved. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.
HF342 (Metsa) Six unorganized territories added to distributions of the production tax on taconite.
Representative Whelan moved that HF342 be laid over.
Ted Luoma testified in favor of HF342.
Representative Whelan renewed her motion that HF342 be laid over.
HF248 (Green) Overvalued property tax credits required.
Representative Erickson moved that HF248 be laid over.
Representative Loonan moved the H0248A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Testifying on HF248 was John Clocksim, MN Department of Revenue, and Stephen Baker, MAAO.
Representative Erickson renewed her motion that HF248, as amended, be laid over.
Kathy Schill, House Fiscal Analyst, gave an overview on Tax Refunds, Aids & Credits.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:42 AM.
