MINUTES

Representative McDonald, Vice Chair of the Taxes Committee, started the meeting at 10:15 AM, on Tuesday, March 20th 2018, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3646 (Poppe) Nonprofit conservation club exemption provided.

Representative McDonald moved HF3646 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Testifiers:

Davin Alan, Member, Cedar Valley Conservation Club.

Representative McDonald officially called the meeting to order at 10:19 AM. A quorum was present.

Representative McDonald renewed his motion that HF3646 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Schultz moved the minutes of Thursday, March 15th, 2018 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3867 (Wills) Motor vehicle class subject to the motor vehicle sales tax modified.

Representative McDonald recessed to the call of the chair at 10:31 AM.

Representative Davids assumed the gavel at 10:34 AM.

Representative Davids called the meeting back to order at 10:39 AM.

Representative Wills moved HF3867 be recommended to be referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance.

Representative Wills moved the HF3867A18 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Wills renewed her motion that HF3867, as amended, be recommended to be referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3598 (Olson) Duluth Central High School construction materials exemption provided.

Representative Schultz moved HF3598 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Schultz moved the HF3598A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

David Kirby, Chair, Duluth Public School Board.

Representative Schultz renewed her motion that HF3598, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

HF3411 (Davids) Property, partnership, and other miscellaneous tax provisions policy changes made.

Representative Davids moved HF3411 for possible inclusion in the omnibus tax bill.

Representative Davids moved the HF3411A18 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
