MINUTES



Representative Tim O’Driscoll, Chair of the Government Operation and Election Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 10:16AM on March 14, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bliss moved to approve the minutes of March 13, 2018. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1197 (Johnson) Candidate required to file a petition related to residency.

Representative O’Driscoll moves HF1197 before the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Johnson presented HF1197

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF1197 to be laid over for possible inclusion.

HF1569 (Peterson) Electronic voting system provisions modified, and alternative printed ballot styles permitted.

Representative Peterson moved HF1569 in front of the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Peterson presented HF1569.

Representative Peterson moved the H1569A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF1569 to be laid over as amended for possible inclusion.

HF3094 (Lohmer) School district bond referendum information required to be available in the polling place, and ballot language for school district bond referendums amended.
Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3094 in front of the committee to be laid over for possible inclusion.

Representative Lohmer presented HF3094.

Alison Komarek, Citizen testified in favor of HF3094.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3094 to be laid over for possible inclusion.


HF3221 (O'Driscoll) Elections administration technical changes made.

Representative Pugh assumes gavel at 11:24AM.

Representative O’Driscoll moves HF3221 before the committee to be laid ove for possible inclusion.
