MINUTES

Representative Fabian, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:15 AM on April 10, 2018, in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Uglem moved the approval of the March 29, 2018, minutes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Susan Mau Larson, Director of Public Affairs, LifeSource shared with the committee the Legislative Impact Award. The award was presented to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for implementation of legislation requiring hunting and fishing license applications to include an option to be an organ donor.

HF3648 (Lueck) Snowmobile education and training requirements modified.

Representative Fabian moved HF3648 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future bill.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Supplemental Budget request overview was presented by Barb Juelich, Chief Financial Officer, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

HF3908 (Fischer) Clean Water Legacy Act modified, and coordinated watershed management provided.

Representative Fabian moved HF3908 be laid over for possible inclusion in a future bill.

Representative Fabian moved the H3908DE-2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.




Representative Heintzeman assumed the gavel at 9:02 AM.

Representative Fabian assumed the gavel at 9:04 AM.

Representative Swedzinski assumed the gavel at 9:06 AM.

Representative Fabian assumed the gavel at 9:08 AM.
