MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:16 A.M. on March 23, 2016 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:16 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Considine moved the minutes of March 23, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2710 (Slocum): Harassment restraining orders modified

Representative Hilstrom moved HF2710 be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Data Practices.

Representative Hilstrom moved the HF2710 A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hilstrom renewed her motion to re-refer HF2710, as amended, to the Committee on Civil Law and Data Practices. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2777 (Hilstrom): Ex parte hearings to determine when an emergency medical service person has a significant exposure to a source individual’s bodily fluids authorized, and peace officers taking a noncompliant source individual into temporary custody to collect a blood sample authorized.

Representative Hilstrom moved HF2777 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Hilstrom renewed her motion to refer HF2777 to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF3005 (Hilstrom): Court reporter related outdated statutes updated, direct appeals of referee orders and decrees in probate or civil commitment court proceedings to the Court of Appeals authorized, and statutes related to penalty of perjury for documents provided to the court clarified.

Representative Hilstrom moved HF3005 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Hilstrom renewed her motion to refer HF3005 to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Johnson assumed the gavel at 10:47 A.M.

HF3193 (Cornish): Medical treatment for mental health excluded from inmate co-payment.

Representative Cornish moved HF3193 be referred to the General Register.
